Getting Started with iBall Instruments Multiview Web Site

What is Multiview?
Multiview is a powerful web application allowing investors, mudlogging management, geologists, and well loggers to view the status of any Bloodhound equipment currently operating on oil and gas wells simultaneously and in real time. Multiview gathers all available status data for each well you wish to monitor and presents them together on any modern JavaScript-enabled web browser.  The iBall Instruments Multiview system only works with wells equipped with the iBall Instruments Bloodhound Real-Time Gas Detection & Chromatograph System.

Multiview Parts
Multiview is divided into two parts: the Viewer and the Session Editor. The Viewer presents the Bloodhound data while the Session Editor allows you to build and edit the list of wells that is presented in the Viewer. See Figure 1.

The Viewer
The Viewer is where the data from the wells and Bloodhound equipment you wish to monitor is displayed. The data table is table made up of 14 color-coded columns of the most commonly viewed data. Each row represents a different well. Moving a mouse cursor over any column header will make a descriptive "tool-tip" appear describing the column. As shown in Figure 1. Moving the mouse cursor over the leftmost field will cause a detail window to open, showing all available Bloodhound data in a format similar to that displayed by the iBall Instruments Internet Raw Data Viewer. See Figure 3.

Parts of the detailed well data (including RPM, Bit Depth, and Weight on Bit) are only available when there is a working WITS protocol data connection from the EDR computer to the Bloodhound.

Clicking on a Unit ID value in the leftmost column will take you to that Bloodhound unit's home page where detailed ROP and gas data charts are available with a logon name and password. See Figure 4.

The Session Editor
Before you can view Bloodhound well data in Multiview, you need to select which Bloodhounds you wish to monitor. The first time you visit the Multiview page you are automatically redirected to the Session Editor so you can build this list.

To add Bloodhounds to your monitoring list, simply enter a 4 digit Bloodhound Serial Number in the text box labeled Unit ID. You can also (optionally) add a well lease name or description in the text box labeled Lease Name. Then click on the Add New button to add the Bloodhound to your list. See Figure 2.

If you wish to remove a Bloodhound Unit from your list, click on the checkbox next to the Bloodhound Serial number and click on the Delete Selected button.

To change a lease name/description of a unit on your list you will need to delete and re-add that Bloodhound unit serial number. When you are through editing your list, click on the OK button. You will be redirected to the Viewer where you will be able to monitor the units on your new list. Please remember it can take up to 20 seconds for your edited list to first become populated with data. And finally, you can go to the Session Editor form at any time from the Viewer by clicking on the Edit Unit List button. See Figure 1.
